-
- Paseo a la Mezquita (Promenade to the Mezquita)
In this movement, the composer offers a symbolic journey into the period in which, like a vision, appears impressively the mixture of races and cultures who forged and enriched this city. A voice sounding from far, accompanied by a guitar, is only a small stop along the way throughout centuries which still today defines and identifies us in the world. - Nocturno en la
ribera (Nocturne at the Riverside)
The second movement exposes the delight and fascination inspired by this scenery of the city, which is more than a silhouette – or an illuminated excerpt in the dark -, of the river Guadalquivir on his way through Córdoba. - Los patios en el
mes de mayo (The „patios“ in the Month of May)
This movement describes the incomparable charm, the fantasy, and creativity – unique in the world – of “The backyards in the month of May”. Without any doubt, extraordinary temples wherein every spring explode jubilant the joy of life, which begins to bloom.
